Paintings throughout history shows Sighthounds wearing beautiful wide collars. It is often said wide METAL collars were to used to protect the dogs necks from injury when hunting.
I ALWAYS use the wide Sighthound collars when taking our dogs out in public.
Identification tags are attached to a separate rolled collar.
